In my work as a financial advisor, I focus on what my clients see as their retirement picture and I look at their assets and income to support their goals. Born in Ottawa, Ontario, I have lived in Toronto ever since my call to the Ontario Bar in 1973. After 16 years of head office legal work, I accepted an offer to join the sales force and to become co-owner of one of the company's agency franchises. I sold the franchise in 2008 after 11 years of sole ownership, just as I had planned.
My experiences, both professional and personal, have aided many of my clients over the years and I look forward to continuing that guidance for many years to come.
I am a graduate of Carleton (B.A.), Queen’s (LLB) and McGill (LLM) Universities. I currently have designations as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®), Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®) and Trust and Estate Practitioner.
I have proudly served on the Board of Directors of the Toronto LOMA association including one year as president. I have also been a member of Advocis since 1989. I am a founding member of CAILBA (the Canadian Association of Independent Life Brokerage Agencies) and served on its board for four years and as President for two years.
Elected to the Advocis Board in 2010, I served as Chairman in 2014-2015. I have also served on the board of MTCC #1178 (a Toronto residential condominium corporation) since 2011 and have served as the President for the last 6 years.
